Oliver Goldsmith

Oliver Goldsmith began in 1926, as a small family business. He had been an optician in London starting from 1919, a time where opticians were relatively quite rare. Goldsmith gathered a tight-knit group of skilled opticians to create high-quality tortoiseshell frames.

This hundred-year legacy is worth celebrating, as they have managed to maintain those exacting standards today. Influential all through the 30s, 40s, and beyond, Oliver Goldsmith changed the paradigm. As The Times said in 1968, “What Vidal Sassoon is to hair and Mary Quant to clothes, Oliver Goldsmith is to sunglasses.”
